Pets enrich the lives of millions of people throughout the world. Pets can

• be companions

• reduce stress in our lives

• help children to learn

• encourage exercise

• help us to meet people

• help us to communicate

Pets can be as huge as an elephant

or as small as a   mouse                 

They might live only a year or two or they might live almost as long as people.

Pets have a big influence on our lives, helping us to care about others and to care for our environment.

For as long as I can remember, there have been pets in my family, and here I am with my much loved dog Wolfie.

Wherever you live, in a city or on a farm, in a flat or in a big house, whether you are young or very old, whether you are male or female, somewhere there is a pet that is just perfect for you.
